Effectiveness of the teaching method
In laparoscopy, there are many teaching methods available to facilitate the surgeon's training: the dry simulator (pelvic-trainer), the electronic simulator, living models (pigs), human anatomical preparations (fresh cadavers), virtual reality. Unlike other disciplines, the endoscopic technique requires not only surgical experience and anatomical knowledge but also a specific "ability" in the basic gesture (psycho-motor skills) that make the learning curve excessively long and laborious. For this reason, the ideal teaching model should simplify the acquisition of psycho-motor skills (skills).
